Honeycomb: The World Beyond Sota7 News and Field Surveys

Frozen Way has been briefing Sota7 like a planetary survey, not like a battle pass. This log translates those Steam news posts into wiki actions. When a letter names a plant or a risk level, biomes and the tier lists should move. When a letter is only a trailer drop, this page records the date and sends you to the release calendar.

SOTA7 FIELD SURVEY LOG series

Zone classification (August 4, 2026). The studio framed the upcoming letters and said they were ramping to release. Treat it as a table of contents, not a loot list.

Log #2 — The Valley (August 11, 2026). Classification: low risk, initial orientation. First look at unique flora and fauna, including friendly Lucuma Camilla and hostile Scorchweaver. Wiki action: start here in getting started. Do not skip the scan tutorial because a later zone looks cooler.

Log #3 — The Headlands (August 25, 2026). Classification: mixed danger, experienced field teams. Stone formations and constructed remnants. The terrain feels arranged, natural and purposeful at once. Wiki action: pack immunity pumps from survival before you treat it as a second Valley.

Log #4 — The Pass (September 3, 2026). Classification: extreme risk, end-of-progression. Small, dense, contested. Species are not abundant like Valley or Headlands life. Flora here is specialized for advanced crafting, nutrition balance, and hybrid paths. Named examples include Earth Filoy (orange, plum-like fruit, safe raw) and Azurite Lonebid (large blue-coated caniform). Wiki action: keep this zone off the demo itinerary. Use it as a late bioengineering shopping list.

Launch marketing, same month

August 19, 2026 — date lock. September 8 full launch, August 31 demo. NVIDIA stack (DLSS 4.5, Ray Reconstruction, Multi Frame Generation, RTXDI, Reflex) restated. See graphics and the release page.

August 21, 2026 — Gamescom 2026 trip. Floor plans and presence, not a systems patch.

August 31, 2026 — demo live. Hour of play plus sweepstakes language. Practical issues live in demo notes.

How to read a future news post

Ask:

1. Does it change a date? → Release date
2. Does it change the demo? → Demo notes
3. Does it name a species? → Plants or Animals
4. Does it name a zone? → Biomes
5. Does it change a meter or tool? → Survival or Base building
6. Is it a trailer? → Watch it, then ignore it as a patch.

Do not treat curator quotes, key-reseller pages, or leftover IGN database fields as patch notes. Steam news and Frozen Way / Snail posts are the canon this wiki follows.

What we are waiting on

• Day-one patch language after September 8.
• Whether demo saves continue.
• Console-specific performance notes.
• A public price on every storefront.
• Review-shaped coverage that can update the preview.
